Fogist ("the App") is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect the minimum information necessary to provide fog predictions, and we do not track, store, or share your personal data beyond what is required to deliver the core functionality of the App.

Information We Collect

Location Data: The App accesses your device's location solely to center the map, generate fog predictions, and display your location name. This location data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers or retained after you close the App.

That's it. We don't collect anything else.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not create user accounts

• We do not track your activity or usage patterns

• We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools

• We do not store your location history

• We do not collect device identifiers

Third-Party Services

To provide fog predictions and map functionality, the App shares your location coordinates with the following third-party services:

Google Maps Platform Used to render the interactive map. The Google Maps SDK may collect certain device and usage information as described in Google's privacy policy. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

OpenWeatherMap Used to retrieve weather data (temperature, humidity, wind, dew point, etc.) for your selected location. Your location coordinates are sent to OpenWeatherMap's servers to fetch this data. Privacy Policy: https://openweather.co.uk/privacy-policy

OpenStreetMap Nominatim Used to convert your location coordinates into a readable place name (reverse geocoding). Your location coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's servers for this purpose. Privacy Policy: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy

What we share: Only your location coordinates are sent to these services—no other personal information.

What we don't share: We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Sharing

Beyond the third-party services listed above (which are necessary for the App to function), we do not share your information with anyone.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new version here with an updated effective date.
